Reaching Szilvásvárad, from the middle of the village a road goes precipitously right to the Castle, and soon the graceful building comes out from the greenery. The Hotel that can be found 25 km’s far from Eger, at Szilvásvárad, formerly a lordship of the margrave Pallavicini family, offers you the elegance and tranquillity of extinct times with its 80 double rooms and 650 m² of wellness section. In the rooms the Italian furniture and the gentle curtains guarantee the real, unmitigated castle-experience that were developed according to the expectations of the modern man.

At the bottom of the Bükk on a nearly 7 hectare of ancient park, the neo-baroque castle with its more than 100 years bygone, renewed in 2009, keeping its original magnificence greets the visitors. The Castlehotel commemorates of the count families who lived in the castle with its numerous motifs.

The origin of the Castle’s name is also based on an oral tradition, which says that this Castle was bought by margrave Alfonz Pallavicini to his fiancée, Maria Wenckheim. As follows that the name of the Castle became countess, in Italian “La Contessa”. 

The La Contessa Castlehotel is permanently developing according to the expectations and demands, so that the Szalajka Program Centre in 2010 and the Grange in 2012 was opened.

The Szilvásvárad card is a preference card, for which you don’t have to do anything, but to fill int he check-in card, and the receptionist will give you the personal, numbered card. With the Szilvásvárad card you might get a number of preferences in Szilvásvárad.
